My experience

Maybe this is my last post in these blog, and for that today I’m going to talk about my experience in that.

Every week I write about something related about me, my career, or my likes; some weeks the themes was more interesting than others, and for the same reasons some post was more easier and funny to write, in spite of this the blog is the most funny part of the English class and also the most freest, for that this blog is a perfect way to practice English, and improve your skills in these language.

Week to week for the blog I learned new words and expression, and I have improved the way I write in English, and all of this in a more playful way.

In topic that I like most to talk and write was the photo, because like a lot photography, take and see that, and the most boring topic for my was the music or books, because both are topics that I do not like.

If the future of the blog I like to talk about my hobbies maybe, more about the faculty or just about building or famous architects.

My Favorite Subjet

This semester I have 5 really different subjects, and definitely if I need to choose just one of these that would be workshop.

I would say that workshop is the most important subject in the career, and the one that take most of your time, but also is the most funny for me, we have this subject all semesters but whit different teachers, visions and works..In workshop we learn all about architecture, like design, do plants, elevations, sections, represents you own ideas, etc. that doing different architecture projects during the semester.

I thing that I like a lot this subject because this is architecture, I thing that is the closest to desing in the reality, in workshop you design your own projects, you can’t do whatever you want, exploding your ideas, imagine and do the differences spaces what do you want to create for the project, the experiences you expect to people live in the project.

a Website

In today post I’m going to talk about of one of the most famous architecture websites in the world, this is called ArchDaily. This website post news of architecture all days, giving visitors information of the news arch projects around the world.

Archdaily post a lot news every day and a normal post in the website have imagines of the projects, the name of the architect, located, area, project year, and a brief text explain the project. But the page doesn’t write just about architecture projects, also they write about all related with architecture like contents, photography of the area, programs, spotlight architects, representation, etc.

Personally I visit the page daily, to stay informed of new developments in the area, and get references for my own projects.

I like ArchDaily because the website is very good for informant yourself about the area of architecture, the post made by the page always have good and useful information, greats imagines of the project and sometime a video to show better the proyect.

One Photo

I’m a really fan of photography and I like  different kind of photos, specially the urban photography, buildings, streets, city places, etc. but today in this post, I want to talk to the last photo that I took.

I took this photograph 2 days ago, when some friends and I decided to go and take picture near the Faculty after class, I took this with my cellphone, because that day I didn’t bring my camera, In this moment I got very angry for that because my cellphone camera don’t take the best photos.

The photo shows the facade of a building seen from below in high contrast, for the natural light, and we can see in this the texture of the facade and the pipe of the building, I like a lot this photo because is very simple, this has only 2 colors but this show the plot and texture of the building.

Music

Music is not one of my favorite theme to talk about, I don’t know a lot about that, because I never be interesting in learn about music, but  I think that I like all of kind of music, in my Spotify list I have music From opera, through electronic music to punk rock, but I think the kind of music that I like  most is the style of bands like Sum 41, Blink 182, Good Charlotte, Green Day or Fall out Boys, I started listening this bands since 2011 I think.

In this moment, I don’t have a favorite band, singer or song, but for example talking about Sum 41 a Canadian Punk Rock band formed in 1996, my favorite song is Skumfuk from the album Screaming Bloody Murder, or talking about Green Day a American band my favorite song is Jesus of Suburbia from the album American Idiot.

I've never been to a concert, but if some day good charlotte come to Chile I would like to go and see them.

Books

Frist of all I'm not a book fan because read has never been my favorite activity, so this is not the most funny theme for me.

I don’t remember the first book that I read because I was very child went this happen, and also I don’t have a favorite author because I don’t know much about this subject and I don’t care about it, for the same reasons I don´t have a favorite kind of book, when I read I choose something popular, a friend recommendation or just a theme that I want to learn or know.

I think that my favorite book is one called “Cuarto A” from Segio Gomez, I read this book a long time ago when I was in the school, this book is not very known but when I read that for first time I fall in love with it.

And if you are asking, no, I don’t reading something at the moment, but in the future I hope to read “The Diary of Anne Frank”.

My Favourite Piece of Technology

When I think in my favorite piece of technology is not easy for me to say just one, because technology is part of our daily life, I really don’t have a favorite, but in this post I want to talk about my cellphone, because that is the piece of technology that I use more day to day.

My cellphone is not very expensive but I like that because this has all of what I need, I got it 2 years ago when I lose my old one, I use my phone all day, to talk whit my friends, organize a work for some class, to use a social network like Instagram or Facebook, to take a photo of something interesting or a special moment, or just looking what time is it.

I like a lot cellphones but I think that the life without it would be much more productive, 

because we lose a lot of time using this.

Architecture and I: Past, Present and Future

When I was a Child I wanted to be an Architect, yes all of my life I wanted to be an Architect, in the moment to choose a career my other options was Laws or History, because at the school History was my favorite subject and I was interested in all about that, in the moment to choose just one I decided to study architecture because of yes, I haven’t got a specific reasons why, just I choose that, but my experience studding Architecture although it is often tiring, was wonderful, in this moment I can say “is the best decision that I have made”.

In the future I want to work designing Architecture, because for me is the best part of architecture or in something related to patrimonial architect and so I can combine my love for history and architecture.

This post is about introduce myself

Well my name is Camila González Góngora, I born in Santiago 19 years ago, I really love this city, but in the future I would like to move to another city, or country, just to know more about the world, I live in a house with my mother, father, grandma and my very crazy puppy called Ivy, also I have a big sister, but she dosen´t live whit me, but we are very close.

I went to a boring school called “The Grenland School” I really hate that, but here I meet whit my best friends, In 2015 I finally left the school and my friends and I took  different ways… I start to study architecture in Fau, in that I meet a really nice people, and discover an awesome career.

Architecture dosen’t let me a lot of time for hobbies but all of my life I spend my free time playing video games like one of my favorite “The Binding of Isaac”, sometimes I like drawing, and in other moments I spend my time watching  different series, right now I ‘m watching the third season of “American Horror Story” (no spoiler), and in the last time I was interested in photography, I want to have time to learn more about that.

Architecture

The last year I started to study architecture I really don’t know why but I love the career.

All of my life I say “I want to study architecture” but in the moment to choose this, I questioned myself if this is my really dream, if I say this for habit or because I want that,  and in this moment my answered was “ I ‘don’t know what I want”.

But when I enter to the faculty, I fall in love whit that, whit the people in that, whit the career, whit architecture, whit all, the only thing I don’t like of faculty is that I don’t have time for others things.

2 years ago if you ask me if I had I to study another career what would it be? I answered in the moment laws, or history, but in this moment this would not be my answer, in this moment of my life I said photography, or design, something like this, but I really prefer study architecture I'am happy studying this and I don't wat to change that for other thing.
